🧾 Why do I need a Credit Check?

To use “Pay on Invoice” on Gingr, you first need to verify your identity (KYC) and pass a creditworthiness check.

We partner with CRIF AG, one of the most trusted credit rating agencies in Europe, to securely evaluate your creditworthiness.

This process is quick, automatic, and ensures that we can offer you a safe and flexible way to book now and pay later.

We check your name, date of birth, and address

Step 2: Credit Check (via CRIF AG)

Based on your credit score, we assign you a credit limit

Step 3: You're ready to book on invoice

If approved, “Pay on Invoice” is activated in your wallet & checkout

💳 What Credit Score Do I Need?

Your CRIF score determines your invoice credit limit:

💻 Where do I start the Credit Check?

You can start the process in two places:

  • In Your Wallet

Go to your wallet → Tap Enable Invoice Payment → Follow the steps

  • During Booking

Choose Pay on Invoice as your payment method
→ If it’s your first time, the system guides you through KYC + credit check

🧯 What If My Check Fails?

You’ll still be able to:

  • Pay with Cash

  • Use your Wallet

  • Pay via TWINT or Credit Card

  • Use Bank Transfer or Payment Slip to top-up your Gingr Wallet

You can try the credit check again later if your data has changed.


📈 What Happens After a Successful Check?

  • You’ll get your credit limit instantly

  • You can pay bookings or top up your wallet “on invoice”

  • You can view your credit usage and unpaid invoices in real-time

  • If you reach your credit limit or miss a payment, the system will block further invoice payments until resolved
